PCV Provisional Licence

Before you can get on with your PCV bus driver training you will need to hold a provisional PCV (CAT D) licence. You need to have a full UK or EU driving licence before you can start training to be a bus driver.

The first job is to have a medical.
Your own doctor will do this for you although some companies offering driver training will also arrange this for you.

The medical form, licence application and car licence will then go to DVLA Swansea for your provisional entitlement to be added. You will normally receive your CAT D provisional licence within a few days.
